About this worksheet

Count the coins in each box and write the total. Choose US, UK, Euro, Canadian, Australian or Indian coins and three levels: a few small coins, more coins, or the full set including the largest values. Coins are drawn as simple labelled circles in copper, silver and gold tones, sized like the real ones.

Tips for parents and teachers

  • Sort the coins and start counting with the largest value.
  • Practise skip counting by 5s, 10s and 25s first.
  • Use real coins next to the sheet and trade up: five pennies for a nickel.
  • Ask 'which box has the most money?' for extra comparing practice.
