About this puzzle

Connect-the-dots pages that practise counting in order. Choose how many dots (10 for beginners up to 50), and what to count by: ones, twos, fives, tens, or the letters A to Z. Leave the picture on 'Surprise' and each new sheet hides a different shape, such as a star, rocket, fish or sailboat. The answer key shows the finished outline, ready to color.

Tips for parents and teachers

  • Say each number aloud while drawing the line to it.
  • Use a ruler for straight lines with older children: it adds fine-motor practice.
  • Skip-counting pages (by 2s, 5s, 10s) are a fun warm-up for times tables.
  • Color the picture when the outline is complete.
